Two-week Fresco Painting workshop

The Renaissance workshop concentrates on fresco painting techniques.

The workshop offers full-day activities in an intensive course devoted to the techniques, materials, history and the theory of fresco painting and an introduction to conservation. Activities include a series of lectures followed by demonstrations and hands-on practical sessions. You’ll have the opportunity to create the authentic Renaissance ‘Buon Fresco’, which you may keep with you at the end of the course.

The Studio provides all relevant materials and art supplies as well as access to its library of essential English publications and slide collections. The course takes place in the 14th century palazzo and is taught by Alma Ortolan who, with the help of her assistants, guarantees individual attention in an intimate and informal group setting.

Classes are in English, however, Ms. Ortolan is fluent in Italian, French, Spanish and Polish. On the successful completion of your course you will receive a Certificate in Fresco Painting Techniques from Ortolan Studio.
