Grand Opera House La Fenice in Venice

Reconstruction of the Royal Box and Groud Balcony painting

In 1996 the famous Opera House “La Fenice” in Venice burnt down, resulting in devastating fire damage. As there were no existing historical references to the original decoration and painting, Ortolan Studio undertook an in-depth investigation. The original colour palette and decorative paint schemes were identified for the entire Royal Box and the Ground Balcony and recreated using traditional painting materials and methods.
